About Our Stud Service Contract

This digital stud service contract formalizes the breeding agreement between you, the dam owner, and Country Lane Doodles for stud services with our AKC-registered Maltese sire, Koda. He is health-tested, with comprehensive Embark DNA results, and produces beautiful premium Maltese and Maltipoo puppies. Our stud service process is designed to be straightforward, transparent, and professional.

Stud fees vary depending on your dam's breed, size, and the breeding method selected, so please contact us for a quote before signing. A non-refundable deposit (amount as quoted) is paid at the time of contract signing, with the remaining balance due at the time of breeding. We accept payments through Good Dog, Venmo, and Zelle. You can choose your preferred breeding option: shipped AI or TCI through K9 Fertility Clinic, on-site AI at our Erda, Utah location, or a side-by-side natural tie at our Erda, Utah location when the dam is similar in size.

Before signing, please ensure your dam has current health clearances, up-to-date vaccinations, and progesterone testing to confirm optimal breeding timing. We require these details as part of the contract to protect both parties and ensure the best possible outcome. By completing this contract, you agree to the terms outlined below, including responsibilities for shipping costs, breeding guarantees, and litter registration requirements. This Stud Service Contract ("Agreement") is entered into on October 9, 2026, by and between:

Stud Owner: Sara Kingston, owner of the AKC Maltese stud Koda, described below, contact: (435) 255-8499 ("Stud Owner").

The parties desire to arrange for breeding of the Dam by the Stud under the terms set forth below.

Both parties represent that their respective dogs are healthy, free from known contagious diseases (including negative Brucellosis test within 30 days if required by clinic), current on vaccinations, and suitable for breeding per veterinary standards.

3. Stud Fee and Payment:

Stud Fee: As quoted by the Stud Owner and agreed upon in writing by both parties prior to breeding. Stud fees vary based on the Dam's breed, size, and the breeding method selected — please contact the Stud Owner for current pricing.
Payment Terms: A non-refundable deposit (amount as quoted) reserves the breeding date. The remaining balance is due at the time of breeding (for shipped breedings, immediately after collection). Accepted payments: Good Dog, Venmo, or Zelle.
Detailed fee terms will populate once you select a breeding type and location above.

4. Restrictions on Semen Use:

Dam Owner agrees and certifies that any semen or breeding services provided under this Agreement shall be used solely to breed the Dam named herein. Any use (or attempt to use) semen to breed any other female constitutes a material breach. In event of breach, Dam Owner shall pay Stud Owner liquidated damages equal to ten times (10×) the agreed stud fee, in addition to any actual damages, attorney fees, and costs.

5. Guarantee and Re-Breed:

If no pregnancy results, Stud Owner will provide a FREE re-breed on the same Dam during her next heat cycle, using the same breeding method originally selected, provided that the Dam Owner submits written proof from a licensed veterinarian of BOTH of the following:
1. Progesterone testing performed by a licensed veterinarian prior to the original breeding to confirm the Dam was in her fertile window and to determine optimal breeding timing; AND
2. Confirmation of no pregnancy from a licensed veterinarian (ultrasound at 28–35 days post-breeding, or x-ray at 45+ days post-breeding).
Dam Owner must notify Stud Owner in writing no later than 45 days after the initial breeding attempt and provide the veterinary documentation above. Without both forms of vet-issued proof, no re-breed guarantee applies.
Dam Owner remains responsible for any veterinary, clinic, or shipping costs associated with the re-breed.
No cash refund if pregnancy does not result (except as provided in Section 3 for failed collection).
No other guarantees are made regarding litter size, puppy health, quality, or outcomes.

6. Assumptions of Risk and Liability:

Dam Owner assumes all risks associated with the chosen breeding method (AI, TCI, or natural tie), pregnancy, whelping, and health of the Dam and resulting puppies.
Stud Owner is not liable for any harm, injury, illness, death, or complications to the Dam, puppies, or resulting expenses (including vet fees, raising costs, etc.).
Stud Owner makes no warranties regarding the health, genetics, or viability of puppies beyond the Stud's own health at time of breeding.
Each party agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the other from claims arising from their own negligence or breach, except as limited by law.

7. Dispute Resolution and Attorney Fees:

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tooele County, Utah.
In any legal action to enforce this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees, court costs, and related expenses from the non-prevailing party.

8. Entire Agreement:

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions. Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
