Goldendoodle Puppies for Salt Lake City Families

We're a small, home-based Goldendoodle program in Erda, Utah — just west of the Oquirrh Mountains and a short drive from Salt Lake City. Most of the families who bring one of our puppies home live along the Wasatch Front, and Salt Lake City is far and away the city we hear from most.

Every puppy is born in our house, handled daily from day three, and raised around children, stairs, doorbells, and everything else a busy Salt Lake household sounds like. Parent dogs are health tested before we plan a litter, and puppies go home with a health guarantee, a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations, and lifetime support from us.

Getting here from Salt Lake City

From downtown Salt Lake City, we're roughly 35 to 45 minutes: I-80 west to the Tooele exit, then south into Erda. From Sugar House, the Avenues, or the University area, plan on closer to 50 minutes in traffic. Families coming from the west side — Magna, West Valley, Kearns — usually make it in under half an hour. It's an easy round trip in a single afternoon, which is why so many Salt Lake families visit more than once before go-home day.

    Meeting your puppy

Most Salt Lake families come out to Erda to meet their puppy and the parent dogs in person — seeing where a puppy was actually raised tells you more than any photo we could send.

When a drive out to Erda doesn't work, we can arrange a safe public meet-up closer to the valley on go-home day. Exact spots are agreed with each family when the time comes — usually somewhere sensible along the I-80 corridor.

    Why Goldendoodles do well here

Goldendoodles suit Salt Lake life unusually well. They're happy hiking Millcreek or Big Cottonwood on the weekend and equally content napping through a work-from-home Tuesday. Their low-shedding coats are a real advantage in a valley where allergies and winter inversion already keep people indoors.

They handle cold beautifully — snow days are their favorite — but their coats do need regular grooming, roughly every six to eight weeks, and dry Utah summers mean plenty of water and shade on afternoon walks.

What Salt Lake City families ask us

Are they good in apartments and condos? Yes, with real daily exercise. Mini Goldendoodles in particular do well in downtown and Sugar House apartments.

Can we visit before choosing? Absolutely — visits are encouraged once puppies are old enough for guests.

What does it cost? Puppies are $3,000–$4,500 depending on breed, generation, and coloring, with a $500 deposit applied toward the total.
